Our participants had the opportunity to join the wonderful Austrian project “Sounds of Nature,” designed by Be Up. It all took place from 20–28 July 2025 in the magical natural surroundings of Lichtenberg. Together with people from Germany, Croatia, and Austria, we shared an unforgettable week.

Imagine spending your days hiking through forests, listening to rivers and birds, and using those sounds as inspiration to create songs and musical art. They played games, laughed, and got to know each other better while turning nature’s melodies into creative expression. The result was the collective creation of unique musical pieces that carried the spirit of both nature and friendship.

In the evenings, we would gather around the fire with a guitar, singing songs from each country, sharing stories, and simply enjoying being together.

What made the project truly special were the feelings and reflections of our participants — and we’ll let them share those in their own words.

I really liked the project – we got along very well in our Slovak group, but also as a project community overall. The facilitator was amazing; I would never have guessed that this was the first project he had organized. The topic was interesting and fulfilling, the setting was beautiful, and the whole atmosphere created a safe space where everyone felt great. -Romana

The Sounds of Nature project was my first Erasmus experience, and I must say that it set the bar very high. Excellent organization, amazing team, friendly atmosphere, great food...
I'm taking away some really wonderful experiences that still warm my heart. My expectations were exceeded many times over, and I'm now highly motivated to participate in other projects in the future. -Michal

The project brought me closer to nature and gave me some great friends. Since it was my first project, I didn't know exactly what to expect, so I was pleasantly surprised. I took away unforgettable experiences and, above all, people who will remain in my heart. The project management was great and helpful. The nature and environment of Lichtenberg were magical and gave me exactly what I needed at that moment.
